Ensuring justice, dignity, and voice for pastoralist peoples

We advocate for pastoralist rights, protect mobility corridors, and strengthen community voices — especially women and youth — in local and national decision-making
Securing Rights, Mobility, and Legal Recognition
Pastoralist livelihoods rely on movement, access to land, and the recognition of customary institutions — yet national policies often fail to reflect this reality. We advocate for legal frameworks that protect mobility, recognize pastoralism as a productive economy, and secure communal land rights.
By supporting communities to participate in policy processes, understand their rights, and negotiate with government and private actors, we ensure that pastoralists are not only protected by law but empowered to use it

Strengthening Voices, Inclusion, and Leadership
Pastoralist communities hold deep knowledge and strong governance systems, but their voices are often missing in decision-making spaces. We work to amplify those voices — especially those of women and youth — through civic engagement, leadership development, community dialogues, and public advocacy.
Our work positions pastoralists as active contributors to national debates, enabling them to shape policies on land, security, climate resilience, and cross-border cooperation. By strengthening inclusion, we help build a future where pastoralist identity, culture, and leadership are valued and visible
