We Re-Energised a Generation
Empowering the next generation to lead, research, and re-imagine pastoralism.
Inspiring young pastoralist leaders to take charge of their future.
A decade ago, the narrative around youth in Karamoja was one of frustration and marginalization. Today, that story is changing — led by a new generation of informed, confident pastoralist leaders we helped cultivate.
Through youth dialogues, digital campaigns, and mentorship programs, we’ve created platforms where young people discuss climate resilience, governance, and peace — not as bystanders, but as actors.

Initiatives like The Lion, the Leopard, the Hyena, and the Fox storytelling project and our participatory action research training have built both intellectual and creative leadership.
Cultivating a New Wave of Pastoralist Thinkers, Creators, and Advocates
These young leaders are now influencing regional and national agendas — contributing to the Karamoja Donor Mapping Exercise, the Cross-Border Coordination Framework, and youth consultations under Uganda’s National Youth Policy.

We didn’t just mobilize youth — we equipped them with knowledge, confidence, and purpose. Today, they are researchers, artists, and civic actors leading the transformation of theirown communities.

Over 300 youth trained in advocacy and participatory research; pastoralist youth represented in national and regional forums.
